What We Believe:
We believe the
Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the sole authority for
doctrinal instruction, salvation, and Christian living. (Psa. 12:6; 18:30;
33:4-6; Matt. 24:35; II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:21)
We believe in
the One ever-living, eternal God, Creator of heaven and earth, infinite in
power, holy in nature, in attributes, in purpose, and possessing absolute
indivisible Deity. This one true God has revealed Himself as Father in
Creation, the Son through redemption, and as the Holy Spirit through emanation
and regeneration. (Isa.
40:28; Deut 6:4; Gal 3:20; Mal 2:10; Eph. 4:6; Jn. 10:30-38, 1 Cor.8:6, 2 Cor.
5:19, Tit.3:5).
We believe the
saving name of God is "Jesus" which mean "Jehovah-Savior". The name of
Jesus is the manifested name of God that is of the Father, and of the Son, and
of the Holy Ghost. (Isa.52:6; Zech.14:9; Matt. 1:21; 28:19; John 14:13-14; 17:6;
Acts 4:12; 10:43; 1 Cor. 6:11; I John 2:12)
We believe that
in order for "fallen man" to be restored to a right relationship with God and
saved from eternal judgment he must be "born again". This "born again"
experience consists of repentance, water baptism, and baptism of the Spirit.
(Lu.13:3-5; Jn. 3:3-5; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 10:47-48; 17:30; 22:16; Rom. 6:3-4; 8:9;
I Cor. 6:11; 12:13; I Pet. 3:21; I Jn. 3:24)
We believe in
the New Testament practice of water baptism by full immersion (for believers) in
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.(Matt.3:16; 28:19; John 3:23; Acts 2:38; 8:16,
35-38;
10:48; 19:3-5; Rom.6:4; Col.2:12)
We believe that
the baptism of the Holy Ghost is still an experience for all believers today and
is initially evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the
utterance. (Joel 2:28-29; Mk.16:17; John 3:8; Acts 2:4,
15-20; 10:45-46; 19:6)
We believe that
Jesus Christ will return again for His Church, and that no one, but the Father, knows the day or
the hour of His appearing. (Matt.24:5-14, 24, 27; Luke 21:25-28; Acts 1:11; 2 Thes. 2:1-7; Tit. 2:13; Rev. 1:7; 19:11-16; 22:20)
We believe that
the power of God still operates in people today. God still heals people
physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. He is still performing
miracles today when faith is present. (Ex.15:26; Psa. 103:3; Isa.53:4-5;
Matt.8:16-17; Mk.6:13; Mk.16:17-18; I Cor.12:9; Jam.5:14-15; I Pet.2:24)
We believe in
the operation of all the gifts of the Spirit as given by God to the Church.
God has endowed believers with special gifts, abilities, and ministries for the
benefit of the body as a whole. These gifts of the Spirit operate in a
Spirit of love to edify, comfort, and to build up the body of Christ.
(Matt.10:1, 8; Mk.16:17-18, 20; John 14:12; Rom.12:6-8; I Cor.12:8-10; 14:1-40;
Eph. 4:7-8, 11-16; Heb.2:4;
We believe that
all Christians should pursue after holiness and strive to live a holy and
consecrated life. In order to be pleasing to God every believer should
live a life of purity and separate themselves from the sins of the world.
(Lev.11:45; I Pet. 1:15-16; Rom.12:1-2; 13:14; II Cor.6:17; 7:1; Eph.4:22-24;
Phil.2:12-13; I Thes.5:22; I John 2:15-16)
